Executive Job Search Situation Overview
A female hospital executive with over 20 years experience total and 10+ years as a COO aspired to become a CEO in the health care industry. After partnering with Endeavor, we identified areas of improvement for this executive in their job search journey, and helped her successfully navigate to become a CEO of a hospital in the Midwest.
CHALLENGES TO OVERCOME IN CLIENT'S EXECUTIVE JOB SEARCH
This health care COO had been trying to secure interviews for CEO roles. Unfortunately, she was only able to get her foot in the door a few times and had never made it past the first round of interviews. She became very discouraged and started to believe she would never break through to the next round of interviews and never become a CEO. A former colleague, another female hospital CEO, referred her to Endeavor Agency and shared the positive experience she had with Endeavor.

After a free initial consultation call, and signing a partnership agreement, the Endeavor team and our new client met to go over how she could improve her overall executive job seeking skills.
First, she needed a clear, concise, and powerful branding statement to convey her value to potential employers. In previous interviews, her answer to the question "Please tell us about yourself" was a rambling recitation of her work history. Endeavor helped her build a strong branding statement that conveyed enormous value, took less than two minutes, and made her memorable and distinctive.
The Endeavor team rebuilt her resume, developed a new profile picture, and mirrored them to her LinkedIn profile to give her a cohesive branding portfolio. In addition, Endeavor helped her develop a job targeting plan to identify more and better roles that would be a strong fit for her.
Next, the Endeavor experts helped write the verbiage to use in reaching out to start conversations with key people on the inside of targeted health care systems. Similarly, Endeavor helped her identify recruiters who focused on the kinds of roles she wanted and an outreach plan to set up a screening call.
Finally, our client worked on her interview skills by participating in several mock interview sessions with her agent. She also scheduled interview preparation sessions with her agent when she secured actual interviews.

RESULTS FOR EXECUTIVE CLIENT
The client landed an interview with a health care system in the Midwest to be the CEO of their main hospital. The outside recruiter shared with her that she was competing with five other male candidates who all had several years' experience as a CEO already.
The client thoroughly prepared for the interiew with her agent and nailed the interview. The recruiter shared with her in their debrief that her branding statement at the beginning of the interview positively separated her from the others and it was her job to lose from that point forward.
